User equilibrium Route Assignment for Microscopic Pedestrian Simulation
نویسندگان
چکیده
For the simulation of pedestrians a method is introduced to find routing alternatives from any origin position to a given destination area in a given geometry composed of walking areas and obstacles. The method includes a parameter which sets a threshold for the approximate minimum size of obstacles to generate routing alternatives. The resulting data structure for navigation is constructed such that it does not introduce artifacts to the movement of simulated pedestrians and that locally pedestrians prefer to walk on the shortest path. The generated set of routes can be used with iterating static or dynamic

Simulation of Pedestrian Dynamics with Macroscopic and Microscopic Mathematical Models
Here, we collect two parts of a research project on the pedestrian flow modeling. Rapid growth in the volume of public transport and the need for its reasonable, efficient planning have made the description and modeling of transport and pedestrian behaviors as important research topics in the past twenty years. First, we present a macroscopic model for the pedestrian flow based on continuum mec...

Motorized transportation systems in the urban areas witnessed huge developments in the infrastructures thanks to the advances in various aspects of technology. This urbanization revolution has its own pros and cons. The resulting dominance of vehicles has limited the presence of people in public places and their participation in social activities, threatening the human based lifestyle of the ci...

This study proposes an architecture for an interactive motion-based traffic simulation environment. In order to enhance modeling realism involving actual human beings, the proposed architecture integrates multiple types of simulation, including: (i) motion-based driving simulation, (ii) pedestrian simulation, (iii) motorcycling and bicycling simulation, and (iv) traffic flow simulation. The arc...

متن کاملAgent-based simulation of mobility in real-world transportation networks: effects of acquiring information and replanning en-route
Macroscopic and equilibrium-based models for traffic assignment and simulation disregard many details of traffic movement. For some applications, one needs to understand and analyze microscopic properties. This paper discusses an agent-based simulation of route choice under different conditions of demand generation, number, and types of travelers. The effects of en-route decision-making and veh...
